since nobody knows what the benefits will be, I've held off on any grinds (1 maxed title i think across 9 chars) until I find out it's worth it (at which point it will be too late to do titles anyways) but it's win-win for me.
I wouldn't worry too much as 26 should give you pretty much anything titles are supposed to give you.

The only things I want to see as rewards are unique skins or other similar types of special-looking things. Any reward that serves some real gameplay function should be able to be duplicated in effect aside from their special appearance.

Personally, I want to have GWAMM done for no other reason than a sense of accomplishment. After having been everywhere and done everything in the game, I think I'll be ready for GW2. If the time doesn't sync up and I finish with time to spare I'll probably just play around on another character and max a few titles on them.
Ultimately, do it because you want to do it, not because you're expecting oober1337n355 in GW2. If you don't just want to do it for the sake of doing it, you'll burn out.

1) don't count on anything at all. Failnet has created the hall of fail as the GW2 handover mechanism.
2) Go for it, there is nothing else to do in GW1

It'll probably only benefit us int he start and noob areas of the game, if that. Or just help us in towns. Like faster movement with Leg Cartog.

For the mini's in HoM i think the benefit in GW2 will be pet stables,
So the pet you get to use/ride will use the skins of the mini's you dedicated.
Again, no real benefit just a skin for a pet.

Remember the tapestry shred Gwen gives you? If taken to her in HoM, got you an extra quest. I can see the possibility of an NPC, "We knew of your coming, descendant of Hero XXXX, we have a special task only for you." Of course, it will be 2/3 of the way into the game, or after achieving a certain level or rank.
As good a guess as anything else in here?

I doubt that there will be an advantage over any other player who has just picked up their game. Shiny hands, a few /bonus items perhaps? But certainly nothing that will make completing GWAMM just for the HoM worth it. Do it for the love of grind, or titles, or completion, or whatever tickles your pickle sure - not for HoM or GW2.

I completed GWAMM on my first war... And I just hope it doesn't give me some $up4hl337k1lL4{Cap-o-Cop} imba feature that makes it twice as easy to do something. I really wouldn't care if it was a untradeable little mini, sure it shows you got so many titles in GW1, bigwoop.

Thanks for all your replies - i kinda guessed as much that you wont get any advantage over the other players but something visual on your character/s.
Oh well I better get back to ticking off stuff to do/get done on my checklist before gw2 some out in..... 2050???

Well, considering we don't know what next month's major HoM updates will be, anything is possible.
I predict that titles will transfer, everything else might just be for some sort of reputation (although I do hope they have items transfer fairly somehow despite what they've already said).

A pixel on the upper left thigh of your GW2 avatar will be changed from black to gold. All the best groups in the game will require you to flash your thigh before joining (using the /thigh emote, obviously). Golden thigh accounts will go for hundreds of dollars on ebay, and newer players will post long rants on the unfairness of thigh pixelation.
The forums will quickly degenerate into flame wars between the have-thighs and the have not-thighs, grinding all social interaction ingame to a screeching halt. After 2 years of carnage, Anet will finally decide to take action, and change the default color of thighs from black to yellow, making them largely indistinguishable from the golden thighs. This will be widely ridiculed as "a heaping pile of cellulite"

Hold on a sec here....since when did PvE titles imply that a person is better at the game?
It NEVER has and NEVER will. Having more titles maxed just shows you have lots of time on your hands. It has NOTHING to do with how good a player you are. You could be the shittiest player on this side of the universe but with enough time and determination even the worse of the worse can get their epeen titles maxed.
Unfortunately there are alot of people who still get a false sense of self worth from maxing epeen titles. Pity.

Same logic applies to PvP titles, truth be told. Only difference is that the people that are the furthest along in the title track must have both skill and lots of time on their hands.

Oh right I forgot to mention PvE/PvP.

You can simply dedicate her in the GW2 HoM! Put her on a pedestal and visit when the mood strikes you.
